Madrone staff experience in fisheries inventory, stream classification and fish habitat assessment covers the range of anadromous and resident species in the Coast and the Interior. Our fisheries studies are often integrated with environmental impact assessments or resource development plans.
Madrone’s fisheries and aquatic specialists are fully conversant with current federal and provincial legislation, and advise clients on potential impacts and develop mitigation strategies to minimize Harmful Alteration Disruption or Destruction (H.A.D.D) of marine or aquatic habitats.
Detailed fisheries inventory and assessment projects completed by Madrone staff have included work with Federal and Provincial regulatory agencies, Municipalities, resource developers, utility, recreation and aquaculture sectors.
From identifying Fisheries Sensitive Zones within resource development tenures to conducting field research in support of Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) agreements with regulatory agencies on behalf of municipal governments, Madrone demonstrates the training, skills and experience to meet our client’s requirements.
